Create the conditions for your newborn, infant, c

Create the conditions for your newborn, infant, child to be able to thrive.
Learn about attachment theory and be proactive in creating the conditions for secure attachment.
Breastfeed as long as possible.
If you need to bottle feed then do it focused and in arms.
Don’t breastfeed or bottle feed and use your phone, focus, be present.
This is an investment for the future relationship you have with this child.
You want the baby/infant/young child to feel safe and secure in their relationship with you in preparation for the effect of your hormones changing at peri menopause. If you are already in it and feeling the challenge and disinterest in giving your all - or something - and feeling guilty about that, choose something that you are happy to do with your children every day, regularly that involves sitting down together fully focused on something – it could be an activity, reading a book, eating meals together, time in nature, singing, dancing, moving… Something that creates oxytocin together to fill their cups and yours.
Be consistent.
If you could do it two times a day that would be amazing. That’s kind of a hormone hack that helps everybody feel good and want to keep doing that, it’s the bonding hormone and it works every time over and over and the more often the better especially when your children are young. Plus co sleeping and baby wearing which will increase your bone density!! Plus all the obvious –
Look after yourself on every level.

Heal any Birth trauma You want to create and foster an environment in the home where the children feel safe and heard and held, you can do that . Don’t be fooled by fear-based claims about HRT and dementia! Take your health and wellbeing into your own hands. If you are concerned about Dementia consider the following: Lifestyle Matters: Research shows that a healthy lifestyle can significantly lower dementia risk. Aim for:• 150+ minutes of exercise per week• A Mediterranean-style diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats• 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night• Regular mental stimulation and staying socially connected Know Your Risk: Women with conditions like hypertension, diabetes, obesity, or heart disease are at higher risk. Women with pre-existing conditions can lower dementia risk by managing health, staying active, eating well, supporting mental well-being, and avoiding smoking and excess alcohol. Remember: HRT is not a proven way to prevent dementia. Make your decisions based on solid facts—not fear. Please share this with anyone you think needs to hear it.
